Are you advertising on Instagram?

With so many platforms out there, it’s hard to decide which ones are worth your ad dollars and which ones will essentially be a ‘waste’. While almost all marketing will at the very least bring brand awareness to the table, where should you throw your ad dollars to gain the most ROAS?

B2C’s Only, Please

Right off the bat, if you’re not a B2C business, turn around. Instagram advertising is most successful with B2Cs. B2Bs will find it difficult to cultivate engagement and keep the conversation going and flowing.

High-Quality Content

If you don’t have the time or means to develop high-quality content, Instagram probably isn’t the best option for you. Instagram, not unlike Facebook, rewards what they deem high-quality content. That includes what you’re photographing as well as the quality of the image. You can easily be outbid because of a low quality ranking.

Got A Shop?

Advertising on Instagram provides an audience of almost 500 million users every day. Around 82% of B2Cs are already advertising on Instagram. Surely you’ve noticed more and more businesses using Instagram shops. As a matter of fact, Instagram has been reported to be crucial in product discovery for many shoppers. If you sell online and don’t have a shop on Instagram, get to it!

Next Level Customer Service

Gone are the days of calling in and waiting on hold for an hour to talk to a representative. People simply don’t have the patience or attention span to wait for good customer service. People are big into instant gratification and therefore, the customer service aspect of Instagram is a huge bonus. It allows potential customers to direct message and comment instead of old-school-calling-in.

All in alll, if you’re a B2C with high-quality content, Advertising on Instagram is definitely a good idea. Get your content in front of the right people. Focus on engagement. And don’t forget to use relevant hashtags!
